The message: James Samuel Jones Sr. -aka- (Big Papa) in his own words
“always pull in the same direction”
The messenger: Roosevelt Young
Big Papa made a big impression on young Roosevelt; Roosevelt admired him. Big Papa saw something special in Roosevelt too and placed a special trust in him. While there were other direct messengers, Roosevelt was one of Big Papa’s most fervent messengers, particularly in his older years.
A little history: One of Roosevelt’s big let downs, according to him, was when he turned the “red truck” over--as he put it--clowning. He never let big Papa down after that. Roosevelt was in fact a very quick learner.
The Jones family has lost a leader. He will be missed.
Other young Jones Family members will step up and indeed already have. And new leaders of the Jones Family are born every year; such is the family's blessing.
The future of the J. S. and Lucy Jones family is bright as long as we remember Big Papa’s message “always pull in the same direction.”
I believe every Jones Family member will in their own special way step up and seek to be all they can be because they know that nothing less is expected. This is what Big Papa and Big Mama taught us, and it is what messenger Roosevelt loved to talk about in his later years.
So long and farewell Roosevelt. We are thankful that God made you a Jones Family member, and we will pick up the message and carry it forward!

A Tribute to Reginald Young

We all come into this state of consciousness with a designated amount of time. At the end of our designated time, we should all hope and pray that others will be able to say that in our own small way we made the world a better place for others to spend their time. I can say that without hesitation about Reggie Young!
Reggie was one of the most thoughtful, kind, considerate and gentle people I have ever known. He was a person who would do anything to help anyone; the kind of person you wanted to call your friend. That was the person I saw.
Not only was Reggie kind, and gentle, and thoughtful, but Reggie made good use of his allotted time. He was thrifty, industrious, and doing good until the very end of his allotted time.
Reggie's life was that of a servant-- the best kind of life. I am so happy and thankful that God allowed me to know Reggie.
Reggie conducted himself in a way that always demanded and received my respect and admiration. I believe God wants us to spend our time not only enjoying all of the beauty and wonder we are surrounded with but trying to develop many of the characteristics I saw in Reggie.
I believe God gave us Reggie to help us experience and see the kind of gentleness we sometimes see in really good people. God through Reggie allowed us to see some of the beauty of his creation.

Thank God I was able to see and appreciate through Reggie some of the goodness of God’s creation and see some of the goodness of humanity. Reggie was, as I said, always thoughtful, always respectful, always kind, always considerate, and always carried himself in a way that demanded my respect and admiration.
I thank God that I was given the opportunity to know Reggie. He was the kind of person that restores one's faith in the goodness of humankind.
Reggie, we now wish you serenity for ever and ever.
